    Being married for 70 years takes a special kind of love and a special level of fondness between a husband and wife. One Brooten couple has a marriage embodying all that and more. For Herman and Delores Kampsen, 70 years of marriage was achieved this past Saturday, September 24, with a gathering of children and grandchildren at the Elrosa farm where they raised 11 children from the late 1940s through the 1980s.     October colors bring to mind orange, black - and pink. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pink will be all over Pope County. Support for breast cancer awareness is shown across the country and will be especially prevalent here where Glacial Ridge Health System has planned an atypical "Women's Night Out" on Tuesday, October 18th from 4:30-7:30 pm urging women to schedule and get mammograms.
