A terrific atmosphere, with great music, food and drink was the hallmark of the second annual Goat Ridge Brewing Co.'s Oktoberfest.

The sun shined throughout the afternoon and into the early evening as the second annual Goat Ridge Brewing Company's Oktoberfest took place on Saturday, Oct. 8 on the scenic shores of the Crow River in New London. Live music was a key feature of the event, with four bands performing throughout the day: Brian Johannesen Tennessee Americana, Angie Oase Punk Americana, Doug Otto and the Getaways and the Brothers Burn Mountain. Great food was another part of the fun atmosphere, with eating options offered by Wenzel Baking Co. pretzels, Rosa's Taqueria food truck and Redhead Creamery cheeses. Also, a new lager was released at 3 o'clock, the Mad Goat Marzan.

Josh Reed, proprietor at Goat Ridge Brewing, was pleased to report to the Bonanza Valley Voice that turnout was excellent throughout the afternoon and evening. He and his employees couldn't have been happier with the support of the public.

Note: the commentary in the beginning of the video had one glaring error: Goat Ridge sits along the middle fork of the Crow River, not the Mill Pond.
