Farm Bill, rural voices discussion in Willmar

Event hosted by Minnesota Farmers Union

Attention! Calling on anyone wishing to raise the profile and the stature of rural Minnesota and rural America as it pertains to federal government policy...your input is actively being sought by the Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) organization.

MFU is currently holding “The next Farm Bill rural voices discussion” events across rural Minnesota. The next meeting in central Minnesota will be on Thursday, July 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Willmar American Legion Post 167 (220 19th Ave. S.W.).

What do you think is essential to include in the next Farm Bill? Come make your voice heard. Congress is already working on the Farm Bill, and MFU wants to make sure they receive a strong level of input from family farmers and rural communities. Come participate in this listening session hosted by MFU. Confirmed panelists are MFU President Gary Wertish of Renville and Rob Larew, National Farmers Union senior vice-president of public policy. Invited guests are members of Governor Mark Dayton’s administration.

For more information, contact Bruce Miller at 651-470-5438 or MFU at 651-639-1223. Miller is a 1968 graduate of Brooten high school.
