The Catholic Charities 2017 Rural Life Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the Joe & Toni Borgerding family organic dairy farm in rural Belgrade. All are welcome to attend this outdoor family-friendly event that will take place rain or shine. This event is being hosted by St. Donatus of Brooten, Saint Francis de Sales of Belgrade and Saints Peter & Paul of Elrosa.

The theme for this year’s Rural Life Celebration is “Caring for God’s Creation: Sharing in the Stewardship of God’s Country”.

This year's celebration features an outdoor Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Donald Kettler, immediately followed by special guest speaker Abbot John Klassen, OSB. The day will include lunch featuring hot beef sandwiches, chips, corn on the cob, coleslaw, ice cream and homemade cookies. Musical entertainment by Slew Foot Band will follow the mass.

Catholic Charities, the Diocese of St. Cloud and The Catholic Foundation are co-sponsors of the Rural Life Celebration, an annual salute celebrating the gift of God's creation in rural communities.
