The Bonanza Valley Days grand parade is on Sunday, July 10, at 1:30 p.m. Grand Marshals for this year's parade are Jerry and Sue Voss, life-long members of our community who are loved and known by all. Registration and staging for the parade lineup will begin at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary school parking lot and continue north on School Avenue towards Railway Avenue next to the train tracks. The Brooten Fire Department is excited to host their annual Bonanza Valley Days chicken BBQ supper on Friday, July 8 at the city park. They will serve from 5 to 8 p.m. with a cost of $10 a plate. This includes potato salad, beans, pickles, bun and beverage. Come one, come all! The night of Wednesday, June 29 in Elrosa was one to remember as the Parishes on the Prairie Catholic churches hosted an old-fashioned church social on the campus of Ss. Peter and Paul church. Jacey Tensen is the 2022-2023 Miss Brooten! Tensen, who will be a senior at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school this fall, was crowned the new Miss Brooten at the pageant held on Saturday night of Bonanza Valley Days weekend (July 9) at the Brooten Pavilion. Miss Brooten princess crowned were Tiyana Schwinghammer and Katelynn Uphus. Little Miss Brooten royalty crowned were Little Miss Brooten princess Myra Hall and Little Miss Brooten Willow Olson.
