  • Pioneer women to be celebrated at old log church anniversary

    Coming up on Sunday, August 21 is the annual Anniversary Celebration for the Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association. This event is hosted at the old log church located southwest of West Norway Lake. This year the celebration will begin with a picnic lunch from noon to 1 p.m. under the tent by the old log church (free will donation).     The Pope County Fair (it's FREE) opened this week on Wednesday, August 3 in Glenwood. The full schedule was published in the July 28 and August 4 issues of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. A video from the truck and tractor pull at the fair in 2021 is shown below. The Free Stage continues with daily free family entertainment.
