Organizers behind a special 150th anniversary day of celebration at West Lake Johanna Lutheran church invite friends and extended family to visit on Sunday, August 20 this summer. Worship service with Holy Communion begins at 10:30 a.m. that day. A noon meal will follow catered by the Padua Pub (free-will offering). Over 650 were served at the Belgrade Firemen's chicken dinner earlier in the evening, and most of those same guests enjoyed taking in the free ice cream social sponsored by the North American State Bank. Belgrade has new young ladies to represent the town over the next year after new royalty was crowned at the Belgrade Royal Ambassador program on Saturday (Aug. 12) of August Fest. The program was held on main street for the first time in many years, with a beautiful stage decorated on a GTS trailer parked kiddie corner at the center of downtown next to the Belgrade Meat Center.
