Here's video from the Sub-Section 5A-South championship game held one year ago (March 10, 2015) at New London-Spicer high school. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars girls' basketball team squared off with conference rival Kimball Area and led 48-46 heading into the final minute. The Cubs tied it at 48-48, but senior Kinlee Swanson hit a game-winning bucket for a 50-48 lead before junior Ashley Trustheim iced the win with two late free throws in the closing seconds.
The sub-section title was the first for the Jaguars since 2005, when B-B-E defeated Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg for the Sub-Section 5A-South title. The girls' basketball program also won sub-section titles in 1993 and 1995.
