Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's theater department is excited to perform this kid-friendly musical that is based on the lovable Junie B. Jones books, written by Barbara Park. The musical follows the main character, Junie B. Jones, played by Molly Tengwall, and is accented by her unique friends. Junie is a sassy, obnoxious girl navigating first grade. Throughout her exciting elementary adventures, themes of friendship and acceptance are presented. Though these morals are shown, author Barbara once said, "There are those who believe that the value of a children's book can be measured only in terms of the moral lessons it tries to impose or the perfect role models it offers. Personally, I happen to think that a book is of extraordinary value if it gives the reader nothing more than a smile or two. In fact, I happen to think that's huge."
