Power pole hit in Belgrade

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, a power pole located right along Borgerding Avenue just north of Highway 55 on the east side of Belgrade was accidentally hit by a vehicle. It snapped, and the upper portion of the pole hung in the air while connected to the power lines. The Belgrade Police Department assisted at the scene with blocking off the roadway of Borgerding Avenue while Xcel Energy crews and contractors repaired the pole and lines. No injuries were reported.
