Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's FFA chapter has 33 students participating and competing at the 89th annual state FFA convention on April 22, 23 and 24. The school's FFA chapter, which has almost 90 members overall, has students competing in a wide variety of events. FFA advisor Gary Rodgers and students departed from the B-B-E high school late Sunday afternoon for the Twin Cities.

This year's state FFA convention theme is "Go Beyond - You decide what's possible". Much of the activity is taking place at the 3M Arena at Mariucci on the University of Minnesota campus, where the convention officially kicked off at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Some of this year's highlights are sessions, speakers, career development events and awards highlighting the success of more than 3,500 FFA members from all corners of the state. A live stream will be hosted on the Minnesota FFA Foundation YouTube site: https://www.youtube.com/minnesotaffa; the stream will begin 30 minutes before the start of each session on Monday and Tuesday. Recordings of the sessions will be available to view after each session has completed.

Additional coverage will appear in the April 26 and May 3 issues of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.
