On Tuesday, June 12, Minnesota Farmers Union will host a special Rural Dairy Discussions event in Stearns County, the heart of our state's dairy country. It will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Osendorf dairy farm at 22879 County Road 10, Paynesville, 56362.

This event is free and open to the public! Family dairy farms are threatened by the persistent low prices in the marketplace, with an oversupply of milk. What can we do about it? We want to hear from you. Like at our Rural Voices Discussions, we are opening up the Rural Dairy Discussions to you. Bring any suggestions you have for addressing the crisis. Our listening panel will consist of the invited guests of MFU President Gary Wertish, Minnesota Department of Agriculture's assistant commissioner Andrea Vaubel and National Farmers Union vice-president Patty Edelburg. We will serve milk and snacks and have lunch following the discussion.
