(VIDEO) Small Business Saturday!

Video featured from December 2017 at the Belgrade Hardware store

The Belgrade Hardware store invites everyone to take note of their four page color flier that went into the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper for the November 22 issue. They are one of many small businesses who invite the public to stop by for Small Business Saturday on November 24.

On Saturday, the Belgrade Hardware store will help celebrate Small Business Saturday with hot chocolate, coffee and cookies; $10 off Zen sweatshirts, new Giftware and Christmas deco, numerous giveaways and a best selection of sale items! Plus, if you buy a $100 gift card, you will receive a separate $10 gift card.

From Wikipedia: First observed in the United States on November 27, 2010, Small Business Saturday is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores respectively. By contrast, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local.

From CNBC news: This year, data from American Express and the National Federation of Independent Business finds some 83 percent of consumers say they plan to do at least some of their holiday shopping at a small independently owned retailer or restaurant either in person, or online. Nearly 6 in 10 consumers nationwide say they are aware of the shopping holiday, and among them, 80 percent plan to shop at independent retailers that day.

Meanwhile, data from CNBC and SurveyMonkey's Small Business Saturday poll finds some 44 percent of consumers say they will patronize a small business on the day this year, up slightly from 2017, and 58 percent say they will shop in person. Overall this season, 28 percent said they will spend less while 14 percent said they will spend more.
