Finding agreement (OPINION)

Fauci speaks to the White House press corps on COVID-19 in April 2020, watched by President Donald Trump (left) and Vice President Mike Pence (right).

Tip me over with a feather, I find myself in a position where I'm mostly in agreement with Dr. Anthony Fauci.

On a day where I learned that the COVID-19 dashboard at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa schools has zeroes across the board, I read an article where Fauci was commenting on the need for regular COVID-19 booster shots. He expanded on the idea that not everyone in America will need to get regular semi-annual or annual booster shots. He's actually taking a nuanced position on the issue.

He mentioned the example of a healthy 30-year old person. In that situation, he said that a booster shot could only be necessary "every four or five years" which I happen to find completely reasonable.

It would be refreshing to see more leaders in our federal government to take positions that Middle American can agree with.

Update: just when I wasn't expecting it, Fauci gave another "clown face" comment that just defies all logic and all science. In an interview on the Communist News Network (CNN), Fauci said that taking the masks off of school children is "risky" - and my goodness, he could not be more wrong.

At B-B-E schools, we've gone a full 90 days of the 2021-2022 school year without forced masking of school children in the school buildings. This represents 60.8 percent of the entire school year. B-B-E has pulled this off with zero "outbreaks" and zero school closures due to unchecked COVID-19 spread among the students and staff. I should know better than to think Fauci could resist giving clown face comments like he did today.
