Vitamin D study from Israel has strong message (OPINION)
March 3, 2022
Another COVID-19 study from Israel speaks volumes about the importance of Vitamin D. This mirrors the conclusion by another similar study done in Israel this past December.
The study showed that patients with low levels of Vitamin D had consistently worse outcomes against COVID-19 than patients with high levels. This played out across all age categories. In patients with severe or critical COVID-19 cases, a whopping 87.4 percent of patients in the study had Vitamin D levels lower than 20 ng/mL.
Low Vitamin D status has also been associated with a range of autoimmune, cardiovascular and infectious diseases.
