On Thursday night on KARE-11 news, I heard a proposal by Governor Tim Walz to return approximately two of the seven-plus billion dollar budget surplus to taxpayers in the amount of $500 for individuals and $1,000 for families.
I find this perfectly reasonable! Lawmakers can still haggle over the other five-billion or so, but this would give families a shot in the arm right away. This should happen right away. Get the checks in the mail!
