Activities for children ages 0 to 6 and their families will take place this Saturday, May 7 at B-B-E elementary school in Brooten from 9 a.m. to noon. From 9 to 10 a.m., activities include a petting zoo, classroom tours and playground fun. Local vendors will be set up, and donuts and OJ will be available.

Katy Smith from Winona. One of her key focuses is on improving the levels of free play in a child's life.

From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., parent speaker Katy Smith will be in the main gymnasium. Child care will be provided.

Finally, a Touch the Truck event with local first responder vehicles will take place from 11:30 a.m. to noon in front of the elementary school.
