The return of Charlotte (VIDEO)

For a three-week period in August, Charlotte Winkler was back in the states. The United States, that is, at a distance of over 4,300 miles from her home near Paderborn, Germany in Niederntudorf (population 145,000).

Charlotte Winkler was a foreign-exchange student at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school during the entire 2017-2018 academic year. Her host parents were Matt and Tonya Ogdahl of Lake Johanna in rural Brooten. Winkler lived with them from mid-August of 2017 until her tear-filled departure on June 26, 2018.

Winkler was a staff photographer with the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper during her entire stay in America five years ago. A lengthy video of her current life is embedded below.
