On Sunday, August 16 in Arctander Township, rural Sunburg, Minnesota, the Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association (NLLHA) hosted their 27th annual celebration of the construction of the log church replica. The original Norway Lake Lutheran log church was used as a church from 1868 to 1875 at the site of today's replica church structure.
A heart-warming Norm Hande-written skit The Pioneer Spirit portrayed a year of separation while their Norway Lake homestead was secured and a log house built. Part of this skit is featured in the attached video, which includes portrayals of pioneer men in Norway Lake by Jeff Johnson, Norm Hande and John Hanson.
