    The Pope County Area Pheasant Restoration group invites the public to their 37th annual banquet on Saturday, March 2 at the Minnewaska House. Refreshments will be served at 5 p.m., and the dinner will follow at 7 p.m. The organization is run entirely by volunteers, and they support over 350 feeding stations and 80 food plots on over 230 acres.   • Five Jaguars advance to state

    The No. 9-ranked Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars wrestling team had a strong showing at the Section 5A individual tournament on Saturday, February 23 at the Minnewaska Area high school. Of the 14 wrestlers in action, 11 earned medals with a top-six showing or better. Five Jaguars also punched tickets to the state wrestling tournament.
