The Belgrade Commercial Club Designer Purse Bingo will be held again on Friday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the V.F.W. (Doors open at 6!) The total cost to play is $40, but to guarantee a seat, sign up and pay $20 in advance two ways in person at Kensington Insurance or Magnifi Financial in Belgrade; or you can send a Venmo payment to @belcommclub with your name in the subject line. You MUST purchase your bingo packet at the door for $20. No exceptions, and cash only!

The B-B-E Community Education will hold their Early Childhood Celebration on Saturday, May 10 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the elementary school in Brooten. The Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association invites the public to enjoy their annual Syttende Mai celebration on Friday, May 16 starting at 6:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church of rural New London. A meatball dinner will be served with delicious Norsk desserts. The program will be "The Front Porch Players" who are a locally-grown group of musicians. All are welcome!

Grove Lake Memorial Parade
The Grove Lake community invites everyone to their Memorial Parade on Sunday, May 25 at 1 p.m. at the Grove Lake Chapel located on County Road 39 south of Grove Lake. The public is encouraged to attend. All veterans are welcome to come and march with the VFW Color Guard. Kids will place flowers on veterans' graves. All will proceed to the park shelter by the lakeshore for a short program. A dessert stand at the park shelter will be available (free will offering). Also! A new Grove Lake Veterans booklet will be available starting on May 25 with a cost of just $5.

Parishes on the Prairie Church Social with outdoor Mass
The Parishes on the Prairie Catholic ACC of Sauk Centre, Belgrade, Brooten, Elrosa and West Union invite everyone to their annual summer Church Social on Sunday, June 29 on the grounds of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. The day begins with an outdoor Mass (weather-permitting) starting at 10:30 a.m. The church social activities, which feature a free lunch meal, will run from noon to 5 p.m.

SIXTH annual Harvest Fest at Rustic Designs Flower Farm
What day is fall harvest fest? Sunday September 21, 2025; What time is harvest fest? 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. How should I dress? Dress for the weather with good walking shoes! Are there restrooms? Yes, one restroom in the farm store and a outdoor port a pot. Is there food? Yes, we have vendors offering coffee and water to snacks and meal options. What vendors are there? Yes, we have a full list coming soon! What to expect? Walk the grounds, check out the craft vendors, eat some food, walk the flower field, cut some flowers, check out the farm store, and take lots of photos! Parking attendants will be working the parking areas. Come and spend the day!
