The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Class of 2026 graduation ceremony was held on Friday, May 22 at the high school gymnasium. A graduating class of 45 seniors received diplomas that night. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school held the Prom Grand March on Saturday, May 2. This was the 38th annual event, as B-B-E has had a grand march every spring since 1990, including in May 2020 during the pandemic. On Sunday, April 26 at the Eagle's Nest bar and grill in Regal, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa speech team held their season-ending awards banquet. On Thursday, April 16, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa FFA chapter hosted Tractor Day at the high school. Students from the high school were invited to drive tractors to school, and they were lined up in a row on the north side of the campus's main parking lot. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa speech team finished the regular season with the Central Minnesota Conference meet on March 17 and the Melrose Invitational on March 21. At the CMC meet, held at Maple Lake high school, junior Surabhi Velez earned the conference title in the Discussion category. The annual Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Sno-Daze week begins on the morning of Tuesday, February 10. The first event kicking off Sno-Daze is royalty coronation, which is at 9:30 a.m. at Olson Auditorium. Mr. Bruce Wing and his wife, Jan, have moved from Belgrade to enjoy the next phase of their golden years. The Wing family has been part of the Belgrade and B-B-E family for the past 48 years. Bruce Wing was a school counselor in Belgrade beginning in the 1978-79 school year. He continued working for the school district after the merger with Brooten and the consolidation of the two districts in 1995 before retiring in 2005. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa hosted a winter Christmas concert featuring the choirs and bands in grades 6-12 performing at Olson Auditorium on Tuesday, December 16. The Olson Auditorium theater stage was rocking all weekend long at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - November 14, 15 and 16. The opening night show on Friday drew a full house, as the theater was filled to capacity with turnout approaching 290.
