The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa bands performed in the spring music concert held on Tuesday, April 14 at the high school's Olson Auditorium. During the band portion of the concert, director Brystin LaMont gave out her senior high band awards. The attached video features these awards. The John Philip Sousa Award was given to senior Anton Zins for his dedication and contributions to the band throughout his career at B-B-E .
John Philip Sousa was an American composer and conductor of the late Romantic era known primarily for United States military marches. He is known as "The March King". Among Sousa's best-known marches are "The Stars and Stripes Forever", "Semper Fidelis", "The Liberty Bell", "The Thunderer", and "The Washington Post."
