On Wednesday, April 30 at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary school, band students in grades 4 and 5 performed numerous musical pieces to kick off the spring concert held that afternoon. Jerry Huls, who taught and coached at Brooten schools from 1979 to 1983, passed away on Tuesday, April 29.
