The number likely will end up between 350 and 400, but initial estimates suggest turnout at the Chippewa Falls Lutheran church fall turkey dinner surpassed 350 paying customers on Sunday, October 18. When the publisher arrived near the end of the two-hour serving period, Jim Wendt reported that over 210 had paid for dine-in meals. The outdoor takeout drive-through had an estimated demand of 140 meals a few minutes shy of 1 p.m.
The attached video features many of the church workers getting their meals as the church dinner came to a close. Additional coverage of the church dinner will be published in the October 22 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.
