The Minnesota Farm Bureau held its annual state convention on November 21-22 in Minnetonka. This event was hosted at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest hotel. The Pope County Fair had a truly tremendous day of activities on Friday, August 1 in Glenwood. With temperatures hovering in the mid-70s and full sunshine, conditions were perfect for the outdoor events taking place at the fair. Marlin Henjum, local historian and retired school teacher, passed away on Tuesday, June 24 in Willmar. In 2021, Henjum released his book Wheat King that chronicled the life of Hans Henjum as he immigrated from Norway to America in the 19th century at age 18. Hans Henjum was a great-grandfather of Marlin Henjum. At the Ranch Rodeo held at Smilin'D Arena in Colfax Township on Friday, June 27, a birthday was celebrated for David Henke during the evening.
