The state-ranked Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars volleyball team lost a tough 3-2 match at New London-Spicer to open the 2026 season. It was also the debut of new head coach Holly Breitbach, who takes the reigns of the program from Brittany Borgerding, who was head coach for the past two seasons. Fairmont won the Class C amateur state baseball title with a 5-4 win over Elrosa on Saturday, September 6 at Memorial Park Stadium in New Prague.
