Pope County Fair is underway in Glenwood (VIDEO link fixed**)

Gopher State Expositions of St. Cloud brings carnival rides to fair

A full slate of traditional carnival rides are on hand for the Pope County Fair in Glenwood, which is sponsored by the Pope County Agriculture Society. Gopher State Expositions of St. Cloud moved their carnival equipment to the fairgrounds on Tuesday, July 28, and rides will be in play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the fair, July 30 to August 1.

The Pope County Fair features numerous opportunities for you and your family to get an up-close look of our local agriculture, especially animal husbandry and the care given by area farmers for their livestock.

Thursday, July 30 plus Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1 has the carnival amusement rides from noon to 10 p.m..

The Birch Coulee Ranch rodeo is in the grandstand on Thursday, July 30 starting at 6 p.m.

The grandstand event on Friday, July 31 features the 5:30 p.m. Backyard BBQ Bash and Dana and the Bottle Rockets plus William Elliott Whitmore show.

On Saturday, August 1, the grandstand event is the tractor pull from 4 to 7 p.m.

Finally, on Sunday, August 2, the grandstand event that concludes the Pope County Fair will be the ever-popular demolition derby starting at 2 p.m.
