Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa schools held their 11th annual Color FUND Run on a sunshine-filled Wednesday, October 7. Each group of runners started their race right next to the junior high football field on the high school campus in Belgrade. The temperatures by the time of the race hovered just over 70 degrees in the afternoon. Students in preschool, kindergarten and grades 1-12 participated in the event. It was tremendously peaceful, for which the community is grateful at a time when peace is not a common denominator in other parts of the state, country and world.
Special thanks should be provided to Belgrade-Brooten Police Chief Casey Jansky, who took time off in the afternoon to provide his services as DeeJay Rocks and Cows with his valuable sound system and help with getting announcements out to the crowd.
The Color Run has been held each year since 2015 (with the exception of 2020) during Homecoming week at B-B-E. This year, Homecoming is later than it has been in recent years, but the weather did not disappoint with full sunshine and a mild breeze to keep the color clouds moving.
