A massive resurgence of interest and enthusiasm in Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa theater has resulted in a cast list of 29 for the upcoming fall play "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" at the Phil and Lucille Olson Auditorium. The 29 cast members are complemented and supported by 7 students on the crew list.
The fall two-act play at B-B-E high school will be performed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 14, 15, 16. The first two shows are at 7 p.m., and the Sunday show is a 2 p.m. matinee. Ticket sales take place at the door the days of the show, so come early (30 minutes is recommended) for a good seat!
On Tuesday, November 11, posters will begin going up around the community promoting the play. In the attached video, a scene during rehearsal can be viewed from Tuesday, November 4 at the high school's Olson Auditorium.
From Playscripts.Com: "The fairy tales of The Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this fast-paced, rollicking ride as two narrators and several actors attempt to combine all 209 stories ranging from classics like Snow White, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel to more bizarre, obscure stories like The Devil's Grandmother and The Girl Without Hands. A wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and madcap fun.
