Sip and Paint class held at Classic Co.

Painters were (front L-R) Tina Schneider, Emily Hadley, Samantha Nicholson, Connie TeBrake, (back) Jennifer Murphey, Heidi Kinzler, two ladies from Villard (names not known at print time), and Shari Miller.

On Thursday night, January 14 Michelle Ogdahl, held a Sip and Paint class at the Classic Co. Bar and Grill in the theater stage. There was a great turnout for the first time this event has been held in Brooten with nine people attending. The attendees enjoyed painting a winter scene and sipping on their favorite beverage!

Michelle Ogdahl, artist and owner of The Paint Spot, located at the Cre8tive Escape building in New London, launched in October of 2014. Michelle's passion for art and painting started as a way to relax and eventually grew into a business as others saw her artwork and wanted to purchase or create one for themselves.

Michelle offers painting classes (both private and public) for groups up to 40 people in The Paint Spot studio in New London as well as other locations. Classes include a 16x20 canvas, all painting supplies, a beverage and light snacks.

Michelle shared that her biggest joy is seeing someone that doesn't believe they have any artistic ability, take a blank empty canvas and create something amazing and beautiful.

Michelle teaches a class by walking through a painting step by step, answering questions and assisting along the way. Sip and Paint classes are the hottest thing to do right now, for all ages- children, women and men!
