Lost cow near Brooten

News release at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14:

On Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at approximately 10:33 a.m., the Stearns County Sheriff's Office received a report of a loose cow about five miles north of Brooten. The cow had an ear tag on it, but deputies are unable to identify the owner at this time.

The sheriff's office asks all cattle owners to check to see if they are missing any cows. This cow was possibly spotted near Sauk Centre in the last week and may have traveled a significant distance.

Contact the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at 320-251-4240 to claim ownership of the cow. The cow will have to be accurately described and the proper ear tag number provided to claim ownership.
