Brooten & Terrace to host National Night Out events on August 7

Residents of the Brooten and Terrace communities and surrounding areas are invited to National Night Out events on Tuesday, August 7. It is estimated that over 38 million neighbors across all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide will participate.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Together, we are making that happen. From time to time, neighbors throughout your city and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement. Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most communities celebrate National Night Out by hosting block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and more.

Brooten locals are invited to the Brooten city park between 6 and 8 p.m. The public is invited to bring family, friends, neighbors and more to join members of the Belgrade Police Department and the Brooten Fire Department with activities and food (hot dogs, chips, pickle, lemonade).

Terrace locals are invited to the Terrace Mill that night, where a pot luck dinner will begin at 5 p.m.
