B-B-E holds Homecoming Pep Fest and games

A cheese ball toss game was held at the Homecoming Pep Fest on October 5 with contestants from each grade as well as the faculty (Mr. Mueller and Mrs. Kioshol).

School spirit is running at a high level this week as Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa holds their 30th annual Homecoming. Students in grades 5-12 participated in the Homecoming Pep Fest with an array of games on Friday afternoon, October 5, during the sixth and seventh hour periods. (VIDEO: one Pep Fest game is shown below)

(HD video) During one of the Homecoming Pep Fest games, a scavenger hunt was held with participants from each grade level. In this clip, the mission was to find the Homecoming King and Queen. They are seen in the beginning of the clip: foreign-exchange students Giacomo Piombini and Ursula Punnonen.

It's been a very busy week at B-B-E, with home varsity tennis and volleyball action, the Color FUND Run, Powder Puff flag football as well as co-ed and intramural-style volleyball and a cook-out.

On Friday night, the B-B-E Jaguars football team hosts New York Mills on the gridiron with a 7 p.m. kickoff. A dance will follow at the high school gymnasium. The Homecoming activities wrap up with B-B-E's second Hall of Fame induction on Saturday night, October 6 at the Padua Pub. The first Hall of Fame class was inducted in 2015.

Added coverage of Homecoming at B-B-E will follow online this weekend and also in the Oct. 11 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. You can also see extended sports and Homecoming coverage at the B-B-E Jaguars Sports blog: http://bbejaguars.blogspot.com. Remember that the Friday night football game will be aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood (live stream online and on the radio at 107.1 FM).
