The Brooten Commercial Club is once again joining up with the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts organizations to bring Santa Day to town on Saturday, December 8. The public is invited from throughout the greater Bonanza Valley area to come to Brooten and enjoy a fun evening of Christmas spirit!

The full schedule was printed on page 10 of the November 29 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. It will also appear in the December 6 issue on a page to-be-determined.

Santa Day 2018 in Brooten!

An early bit of fun takes place that afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with the Brooten Bucks drawing at the KaDe Shack prior to the start of adult Bar Bingo. Fifteen winners will be drawn from the submissions at local businesses, and folks need not be present to win. If you are present and your name is drawn, your prize is doubled to $40!

The rest of the activities start at 4 p.m. at Marcia's in downtown Brooten (141 Central Avenue North) with Santa Claus stopping by (until 5:30 p.m.) for pictures and greetings to area children. All children will get a bag of treats, courtesy of the Brooten Commercial Club. During that same time, free hay rides will take place along with other games sponsored by the B-B-E Girl Scouts.

Family Bingo will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the KaDe Shack, and it is sponsored by the B-B-E Cub Scouts. Also taking place during Family Bingo will be a Chili Feed and Bake Sale, both sponsored by the B-B-E Cub Scouts (free will offering). All proceeds from this will go to the B-B-E Food Shelf.

At 6 p.m., a live nativity scene with Christmas caroling will be held in downtown Brooten next to Jana Mae's. Also at 6 p.m., the annual Parade of Lights will begin. Come see floats light up Main Street! Entries to the parade are asked to line up at the elevator parking lot on the north end of main street.
