Girls' basketball Jaguars win playoff opener

The No. 1-seeded Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars girls' basketball team took care of business in quick order for their opening playoff game on Thursday, February 28. At the friendly confines of the home court, the Jaguars advanced to the Sub-Section 5A-South semifinals with an 87-25 win over Hinckley-Finlayson.

Hinckley-Finlayson finishes the season 9-19 overall.

Next: the Jaguars (22-5) play at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 at 6 p.m. at Little Falls high school. Their opponent will be No. 5-seeded Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (13-13).
