    The four banks of the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa area are all holding holiday open house celebrations just in time for the Christmas season this month.     The women of Grace Lutheran Church in Belgrade invite everyone to their annual Christmas program on Wednesday, December 13 at 7 p.m. This year we will be having singer and musician Fred Walter. Fred grew up in Osakis and went to school in Villard, and he was surrounded by music at every turn.   • Lost cow near Brooten

    News release at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14: On Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at approximately 10:33 a.m., the Stearns County Sheriff's Office received a report of a loose cow about five miles north of Brooten. The cow had an ear tag on it, but deputies are unable to identify the owner at this time. The sheriff's office asks all cattle owners to check to see if they are missing any cows.
