Elrosa Senior Citizens Bologna Daze
The Elrosa Senior Citizens invite everyone to their Bologna Daze fundraiser, which will be held for the second time of the 2025 season on Tuesday, June 24 at the Elrosa Bar and Lounge. The membership appreciation day for Magnifi Financial in Belgrade will be on Thursday, June 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Belgrade Municipal Building, serving a free sit-down lunch while supplies last. Brooten Farmers Market season begins!
ANNOUNCEMENT: the Brooten Farmers Market, which is still seeking vendors to join, will open the 2025 season on Thursday, June 26 at the city park shelter and gazebo. The Farmers Market runs from 4 to 7 p.m., and it continues on Thursdays through July, August and into September. Additional information is forthcoming in the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. Parishes on the Prairie Church Social with outdoor Mass
The Parishes on the Prairie Catholic ACC of Sauk Centre, Belgrade, Brooten, Elrosa and West Union invite everyone to their annual summer Church Social on Sunday, June 29 on the grounds of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. The day begins with an outdoor Mass (weather-permitting) starting at 10:30 a.m. The church social activities, which feature a free lunch meal, will run from noon to 5 p.m.

Bonanza Valley Days Kiddie Parade
Attention to all Brooten-area kids! Start planning now! The Bonanza Valley Days kiddie parade is coming on Saturday, July 12 at 10 a.m. Staging will take place at the Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot on Hatton Street. The parade route will be as it has been in recent years, traveling west along Hatton Street towards the Brooten Pavilion. The BVD theme for 2025 is "Feeling Alive in 2025" CASH and other terrific prizes will be awarded. Books and treats will be offered for ALL participants! The full set of details for the kiddie parade will be published in the July 3 and July 10 issues of the newspaper.

Monson Lake Opry Festival in rural Sunburg
The Monson Lake Opry Festival is coming on Friday and Saturday, September 5 and 6 in rural Sunburg, Hayes Township in eastern Swift County. (Address: 225 170th Avenue N.E., Sunburg) Playing Friday is Little Texas and the Bellamy Brothers plus Kentucky Thunder. On Saturday, Kentucky Thunder will play again. Also playing Saturday: Ben Haggard, Joshua Hedley and Pam Tillis (headliner). Gates open at 3 p.m. on both days, and camping is available by calling or texting Brad at 320-314-2066. What day is fall harvest fest? Sunday September 21, 2025; What time is harvest fest? 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. How should I dress? Dress for the weather with good walking shoes! Are there restrooms? Yes, one restroom in the farm store and a outdoor port a pot. Is there food? Yes, we have vendors offering coffee and water to snacks and meal options. What vendors are there? Yes, we have a full list coming soon! What to expect? Walk the grounds, check out the craft vendors, eat some food, walk the flower field, cut some flowers, check out the farm store, and take lots of photos! Parking attendants will be working the parking areas. Come and spend the day!
