March: Donation made to B-B-E Food Shelf.
April : Youth mentor turkey hunt. Volunteers take kids who never hunted turkeys actually out turkey hunting on private land. Interesting story to come later!
April: DAV Hunt, (disabled veterans turkey hunt). Wayne Wiener helped disabled Vets turkey hunt at Camp Ripley in partnership with Midwest Outdoors Unlimited.
May: Donate & help Let’s Go Fishing of Belgrade Chapter fund raiser. Donation to new pontoon.
June: 1st senior fish outing Elrosa Seniors to Sauk lake; 22 seniors attended outing, outing included being picked up in Elrosa and driven to Sauk Lake, had two pontoons available - fish for 2 hrs, served fish, chips & beverages & then driven back to Elrosa. Great turn out! Thanks to Mark & Brenda Breitbach & Let’s Go Fishing of Belgrade for the use of pontoons!!
July: 2nd Senior fish outing this time to Lake Ida. Special thanks to Keith & Ken Haider & Vince & Donna Haider for the use of their cabin & facilities! We had 33 seniors at this outing. Three pontoons were used - Thanks to the following - Let’s Go Fishing of Belgrade & Steve & Mary Johnson & Vince & Donna Haider. 2 pontoons were used for fishing & 1 for site seeing around the lake. Again seniors were driven to & from Lake Ida, fish, chips & beverages were served for lunch. Another GREAT time was had by all. Want to thank all volunteers for both outings too numerous to mention all, but thanks to all!!
July: Also our Jakes Day at the Belgrade Sportsman Club. This event is for kids ages 3 to 17 to come out and participate in outdoor activities such as: Shooting trap, shooting rifle with scope, shooting hand gun, shooting muzzle loader, BB gun, shooting bow & arrow & building wood duck houses. There were 46 kids that attended. Each kid received a t-shirt, hot dogs, chips & beverages for lunch, a door prize with the top prize a 20 ga. single shot, shot gun! and a Jake membership in the NWTF. Thanks to all the co-sponsors that donated to this event!! & Thanks to all the volunteers!!!
August & September No activities
October: we held a DAV deer hunt at Camp Ripley. Wayne Wiener volunteers to help a disabled vet at this event. Again co-sponsor with Midwest Outdoors Unlimited.
November: donation to BBE Food Shelf.
The Bonanza Valley Royal Strutters had another successful year! Thanks again to all of our sponsors and volunteers who made it all possible.
