Packer Brothers and Precision Manufacturing host facility tour

Packer Brothers and Precision Manufacturing hosted a bus tour from the the Minnesota Rental Association last Thursday. A Greyhound bus with over 25 business owners from all over the state of Minnesota got a first-hand look at what takes place at the manufacturing plant in Brooten's industrial park,with their tour led by owner Dan Kallevig and his operations manager, Adrian Rick.

Kallevig gave a brief overview of the company's history while moving the group between the various departments of the factory, including the Fabrication center, Research and Development, Assembly, Welding and also Painting.

Kallevig was excited to talk about the R & D department, where new products are born out of the goal of custom building to meet customer needs.

"We found out that it's better to build for other companies. It makes us more stable in the industry," he said.

Adrian Rick spoke about the company's constant improvement on designs.

"We've adapted and grown and try to answer what customers want. Now we're more in control of our own destiny than we've ever been."
