New London Water Days is July 10-16

The annual New London Water Days celebration and activities are set for July 10-16.

After the Medallion Hunt begins on Monday, July 10, a long list of five days' worth of activities kick off on Wednesday with the New London royalty style show at 7 p.m. at the Covenant Church.

A summer music concert is at 6:30 p.m. the next night at Glacial Ridge Winery, featuring "Skippin Stones".

Friday's activities include a tennis tournament at the high school, a book sale at Peace Lutheran Church (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the Little Crow Water Ski show at 7:30 p.m at Neer Park (admission just $1).

Friday caps off with a 16+ street dance from 8:30 p.m to midnight.

Saturday begins with the New London Lions breakfast, featuring Dad's Belgian Waffles, at Peace Lutheran from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The Mill Pond mile starts at 8:15 a.m., and a vendor market is at the city parking lot from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Grand Day parade is at 11 a.m., and a hog roast takes place after that at the Fire Hall.


Goat Ridge Brewery will host live music following the parade with four bands and a food truck available all day.

"Family Fun" is noon to 3 p.m. with kid-friendly games. Wristband prices can be found on the Water Days Facebook.

Other Saturday activities include Lions Bingo, a doggie costume contest, kids' fishing tournament, bean bag tournament, royalty coronation, live music and fireworks at dusk.

Sunday includes a church service on the pond plus many more events culminating with a kids tractor pull and a community band concert.
