Winning the battle with fear and depression

Brooten high school graduate publishes self-help book

Dana Marrocco (formerly Knutson) and Brooten high school alumni (Class of 1989) wants to let you know about her new self-help book she recently published.

"The Top Ten Lies We Tell Ourselves: and How to Stop Living Them" is about exposing the hidden and harmful messages we blindly accept as true when we follow the fear-soaked part of our mind. Marrocco writes with insight and humor as she shares her personal story of struggling with depression for years before finally learning a permanent way out of it. Her book is available now on Amazon. If you'd like a signed copy, she has an event at the Barnes and Noble in St. Cloud on Friday, June 21st from 7 to 8:30 p.m. She'd love to see some familiar faces!

Marrocco is the daughter of Gaylord Knutson (now living in Sisseton, SD), and Dianne Smith (residing in Alexandria). She lives in Flemington, NJ with her husband and two children. After attending Willmar Community College and St. Cloud State University, she received a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Purdue University. She is an author, motivational speaker, spiritual singer-songwriter and a self-help, stand-up comedian. She has a video series on YouTube called, "Did You Forget To Laugh?," and a weekly, on-line radio show.
