The Historic Terrace Mill will host a Bluegrass Festival featuring The High 48s and Cimarron, on Sunday, September 29. The event will feature a free guitar workshop, and local food and vendors. Join us for a beautiful fall day in Terrace!

Back by popular demand, The High 48s previously performed at the Terrace Mill to a sold out crowd!

Since forming in northeast Minneapolis in 2006, The High 48s have been making music that combines the soulful sound of classic bluegrass with a modern attitude. The High 48s are also a band of songwriters. Their songs ring true to their lives as northern city-folk. In 2017, the band released their eighth studio album, Daddy Was a Bank Robber. A free guitar workshop will be conducted by Clint Birtzer, guitar player for The High 48s. He won his first flatpicking guitar championship at the age of thirteen and is currently a three-time Minnesota State Flatpicking Guitar Champion.The workshop will be held beginning at 12 p.m. on September 29. Cimarron, a familiar Glenwood based group, will be opening for the High 48s. Cimarron, a premier bluegrass and country-rock group, draws from more traditional veins as well as performing their unique, original material. You can find them on Facebook for more information.

Gates and the local vendors open at 11:00 a.m. and include pie offerings from Jana Mae's in downtown Brooten as well as a great selection of food from The Bark'N Pig Smokehouse of Glenwood. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, kids age 5 and under are free. Terrace is located 13 miles south of Glenwood on Highway 104.
