Come celebrate the beginning of the advent season in a fashion similar to what your ancestors did. The Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association is preparing for the Christmas season with an Advent Service on Sunday afternoon, December 1 at 2 p.m. at the Log Church of Norway Lake. The log church is located at 9905 195th Avenue Northwest, New London MN, 56273.

(VIDEO) Featuring music from the Pioneer Advent Christmas worship at the old log church on December 3, 2017..."Silent Night" is the first song being sung in this clip.

There will be an old-fashioned hymn sing in both Norwegian and English, treats and a little lunch following the service. We will share the Christmas story in word and in song. We want especially to invite young children and families to attend. This is a great opportunity for young and old alike to experience a little bit of pioneer life on the Sunburg prairie. The church is not heated except by the Sun and your presence, so dress warmly. The church is located southeast of Sunburg, seven miles just off County Road 40 or 12 miles west of New London.
