The annual Bonanza Valley Days celebration in Brooten is coming next on July 9, 10, 11 and 12 in 2026! Spread the word and mark your calendars! The 2026 BVD grand parade starts at 1:30 p.m. in Brooten on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Belgrade Nursing Home residents are excited to offer trick or treating from 4 to 6 p.m. on Halloween, October 31. Residents will gather in the lobby so the kids/families can come right in the front door. The residents and staff look forward to seeing the kids in their costumes.

Belgrade VFW Steak and Pork Chop Fry with meat raffle
The Belgrade VFW invites everyone to their next Steak and Pork Chop Fry on Saturday, November 1 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. This will also include a meat raffle, so bring your dollar bills! Come and support a terrific, local organization.

Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church ham and egg breakfast
The Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa invites everyone to their fall ham and egg breakfast on Sunday, November 2. They will serve in their spacious church basement from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu includes: ham, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, applesauce, cheese, cinnamon bread, chocolate and white milk, coffee. Tickets: adults $11, children ages 5-12 are $7 and chidren 4 and younger eat free.

Belgrade Purse Bingo is Friday, November 7
The Belgrade Commercial Club will host Purse Bingo night on Friday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Belgrade V.F.W. The total cost to pay is $40. To guarantee a seat, sign up and pay $20 in advance by stopping by Magnifi Financial OR by sending a Venmo payment to @belcommclub with your name in the subject line. You must purchase your bingo packet at the door for $20. No exceptions.

SUPPORT FOR SARA - Fundraising event at Paynesville Legion for Sara McCann
On Saturday, November 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Paynesville Legion, a fundraising event will be held for Sara McCann, certified massage therapist, wife and mother of 5 kids, who is suffering brain cancer. Sara is a 2001 graduate of B-B-E high school. The event features a taco bar, silent auction, meat raffle, bake sale and more. A donation of $15 is asked for the meal for adults, and $8 for kids 12 and younger. Additional details are coming in the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.

The Community Education at B-B-E schools is excited to host their annual Women's Expo on Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at the elementary school in Brooten. This is set up with plenty of room for all at the cafeteria and main gymnasium.
