(HD VIDEO) Sunday School program 'The Joy of Christmas'

Children from Trinity and West Lake Johanna Lutheran churches hold outdoor Christmas program

With Minnesota's December weather providing full cooperation, children from Trinity and West Lake Johanna Lutheran churches of Brooten held a special recording of their Christmas program on Sunday, December 20. The music and program used was called "The Joy of Christmas" and was created and arranged by Terryl Padilla and John Roberts. The video player is shown below.

The performance was terrific after they held a light rehearsal in the Trinity church sanctuary before the outdoor recording took place. The video has a light amount of wind noise and sounds of the camera tripod legs grinding on the landscaping rock. All in all, the setting was perfect! And they were lucky enough to pull it off without a train passing through town.

Sunday School had been re-started at Trinity in October before being put on pause as local COVID-19 case numbers began to climb in mid-November. As it appeared that case numbers were easing up a week ago, some very creative minds went to work at the last minute to put this together in the outdoor setting.

Numerous children had speaking parts, and Brayden Lieser and Addison Reese played the parts of Joseph and Mary. All families involved should be very proud of their children for pulling this off and providing a great Christmas memory for friends and family from anywhere to enjoy.

From everyone at the Trinity and West Lake Johanna Lutheran parish, we wish everyone a very Merry, safe and blessed Christmas!
