Ebb and flow with local COVID-19 case reports (UPDATED)

Since the April 8 report for COVID-19 new case numbers (by zip code) was reported by the Minnesota Department of Health, the local zip code area of Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa has seen 52 new cases reported in a population of approximately 4,285 people.

The MDH's April 29 report showed a small uptick from 12 new cases reported April 22 to a new case number of 15. This is broken down by the area of Belgrade (56312 population 2,622) with 13 new cases and Brooten (56316 population 1,466) with two new cases.

Again, as has been the case since mid-December (December 17, 2020 report), the Elrosa zip code continues with no new COVID-19 cases. Their population is 197.

Below are weekly new case numbers for the 56312, 56316 and 56325 zip codes:

March 18 - 5

March 25 - 2

April 1 - 10

April 8 - 10

April 15 - 25

April 22 - 12

April 29 - 15.
