Curd Fest is Saturday! (June 19)

Redhead Creamery's third annual event celebrating all things cheese curd will host hundreds at their scenic rural Brooten farm site

Come one, come all! A magnificent event is set to return for 2021 in rural Brooten.

Thirteen vendors, two bands and thousands of cheese curds headline this year's Redhead Creamery Curd Fest, THIS Saturday, June 19, 2021.

The third-annual "Curd Fest" planning is ready to pay off at Jer-Lindy Farms and Redhead Creamery. "Curd Fest" celebrates the beloved cheese curd, with live music, food, drink and fun for all ages. Attendees can attend some or all of the event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Jer-Lindy Farms/Redhead Creamery between Brooten and Sauk Centre, Minn.

Curd Fest 2021 features two bands (2nd Notion and Timbre Junction), three breweries (Foxhole Brewhouse, Goat Ridge Brewing Co. and Minnewaska House Brewing Co.), three food trucks (Jupiter Moon Ice Cream, Minnewaska House Grill and South Meats North BBQ), two wineries (Grandview Valley Winery and Rolling Forks Vineyards) and at least five other vendors (Lucky's Sauces, Milk Made Catering, Reality Roasters Coffee Company, Smude's Sunflower Oil and Terroir Chocolate). Admission is $12 in advance at RedheadCreamery.com or $15 at the door. Children 11 and under are free.

Curd Fest will feature Redhead Creamery's famous pan-fried cheese curds, chocolate-covered cheese curd kabobs and more. Redhead Creamery makes many types of Cheddar – like Clothbound Cave-Aged Garlic Cheddar, Lucky Linda Clothbound Cheddar, Margie Cheddar and Red Temper honey-chipotle, as well as Little Lucy Brie, North Fork Whiskey Washed Munster, Havarti, Ridiculously fresh Cheddar cheese curds, Tipsy Tilsiter and more including new, exclusive summer varieties.

In some cases, seven hours will not be enough. Redhead Creamery is offering a very limited VIP Package which includes coffee and donuts with founder Alise Sjostrom thirty minutes ahead of gates opening. The VIP package also includes admission, a t-shirt, an exclusive Curd Fest mug, cheese curds, stickers, a farm tour ticket and VIP seating for the band.

Self-guided dairy farm tours, the Cow Camp Cow Crawl including a petting zoo and opportunities to donate to the Western Stearns County Food Shelf will also be available. Current guidelines allow for 728 within a limited section of the premises under a large tent. In the case of inclement weather or changing health restrictions, admission can be converted to a Redhead Creamery gift card.

Redhead Creamery continues weekly farm tours on Friday and Saturday at 12:30 p.m., holds regular store hours Friday (12 noon to 2:30 p.m.) and Saturday (12 noon to 4:00 p.m.) and bi-weekly deliveries to the Twin Cities and Fargo, in addition to weekly deliveries within an hour of our location.
