The new number shows a week-over-week decline in COVID-19 cases

The new number is 48.

COVID-19 case counts have declined on a week-over-week basis among the approximately 4,300 men, women and children living in the zip code areas of Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa (56316, 56312, 56325). The new number of COVID-19 cases reported by the Minnesota Department of Health during the past week is 48 in their February 3 zip code report. This is crazy good news after the January 27 report showed 54 new cases.

Local zip code increases:

Belgrade 56312 - 23 new cases (33 new last week)

Brooten 56316 - 23 new cases (19 new last week)

Elrosa 56325 - 1 new case (2 new last week)

Case counts also declined in the New London, Spicer and Glenwood zip codes after those areas posted huge increases in the January 27 MDH report. Other area zip codes will be analyzed on February 3, and this web article will have updated information added some time on Friday, February 4. Stay tuned.
