The annual Bonanza Valley Days celebration in Brooten is coming next on July 8, 9, 10 and 11 in 2027! Spread the word and mark your calendars! The 2027 BVD grand parade starts at 1:30 p.m. in Brooten on Sunday, July 11, 2027.
Belgrade August Fest 2027!
Mark your calendars for the big weekend in Belgrade! August 12-15
The annual Belgrade August Fest is coming on August 12-15 (Thursday to Sunday) in the summer of 2027. The 2027 August Fest grand parade starts at 4 p.m. in Belgrade on Saturday, August 14.

Brooten City Council meeting
The Brooten City Council will meet in regular session on Monday, August 24 at 7 p.m. at the city hall meeting chambers in downtown Brooten. The meeting is open to the public. Brooten Farmers Market season continues!
The Brooten Farmers Market will operate for the eighth night of the 2026 season on Thursday, August 27 at the Brooten city park and/or the shelter and/or gazebo from 4 to 7 p.m. depending on the weather. Please pass the word! Local craftsmen, craftswomen, bakers and artists are welcome to join! Contact the Bonanza Valley Voice for more details at 320-346-2400. The Brooten Farmers Market will run weekly on Thursdays through at least September.

Cedar Creek Gospel Band and worship at the Brooten Pavilion
A joint music, worship and pie and ice cream social event will take place on Sunday, August 30 at the Brooten Pavilion, where Big Grove/Crow River/Grace Lutheran Parish and Trinity/West Lake Johanna Parish will host the Cedar Creek Gospel Band for an 11 a.m. worship service. That is followed by a noon lunch with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, pie, ice cream and drinks. Everyone welcome!

The Stearns County Senate District 12 (A and B) Republican Basic Political Operating Unit (BPOU) meeting will be on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenwald Pub. All Republicans are welcome to attend.

The Elrosa city council will meet on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 7 p.m. at Elrosa's city hall for their regular monthly meeting.

Sedan city council meeting
The Sedan city council will meet in regular session on Wednesday, September 9 at 6 p.m., open to the public at the Sedan City Hall.

Ninth annual Veteran Golf Tournament at Mar-Haven Greens
Mar-Haven Greens in Colfax Township, rural Belgrade, will host the 9th annual Veteran Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 12 at 623 Colfax Road Northwest. The day includes a 10:30 a.m. registration with an 11 a.m. shot gun start. The entry fee is a free will donation, and door prizes are available. A meal will be provided after the tournament. OPEN to the public! This fundraiser benefits PGA Hope and Wounded Warrior Project. The golf course website is http://www.marhavengreens.com.

Trinity Lutheran Church Grove Lake Fall Festival
The annual fall festival at Trinity Lutheran of Grove Lake (20129 County Road 39, Glenwood) is on Sunday, September 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please spread the word! On the menu: pulled pork sandwiches, beans, cole slaw, applesauce, chips and pie. Cost: $12 for adults/ages 13 and up. Children ages 5 to 12 is $6, and kids 4 and under are free. *Takeouts available at $12 each. Proceeds to support our local food shelf organizations.
